Because the origami is made out of paper I took extra care to tape the inside of the crane to make it more durable and have coated the outside in gloss to make it waterproof (my own earrings have lasted me quite a while now), however, as it is paper you will need to be careful about wearing these out in the rain.

These earrings are nickel free.
