Kintsugi Vessel: Handmade Japanese ceramic sake cup Kintsugi Materials: Ki-urushi lacquer and silver powder
Is this food safe? Yes. The Traditional method using silver is 100% food safe. However, as it is fragile it is not recommended to expose the lacquer to hot liquids (like coffee, soups etc..) or steam as it will speed up the wear and tear. This is perfect for decorations or serving dry food (candy, chocolate, nuts etc..) It is also recommended not to microwave or put in the dishwasher.
